Camden

Arguably London’s safest and most individualistic borough, Camden has fostered an intense spirit of community and diversity over the decades. Depending on who you ask, it’s either London’s biggest and most garishly coloured eyesore or the shining rainbow jewel in a tarnished crown.

While the metropolitan police do have a presence on the streets, it’s a poorly kept secret that order is kept by community minded groups that are little more than quasi-philanthropic gangs like The Springtime Bards and The MeltDowners. They’ll go out of their way to help local folk, but most visitors are on their own if trouble comes knocking.

The area is liberally littered with a staggering variety of businesses and venues. Whether you’re in the mood for Hindu-Orkish cuisine, open-betting troll pit fighting, dwarf jazz cafes or family-run BTL chip libraries, you’ll find whatever you’re after in Camden.
